Anyone in Parentlink can organise a social event in order to meet others. If you want to do a walk or craft activities or something else, why not?
Parenting Cafe'
Daytimes: meet up in a kid-friendly space for light snacks, drinks, discussions, games. Look at books from the ParentLink Library. Swap clothes and toys. Evenings: meet up and socialise, taste wine, bring aperetivi to share with others. Try the International Food Tour with team cooking for small groups. Play cards and board games. In the long term we want a permanent building so we can have a drop-in centre like this one: an informal, welcoming space to meet people for socialising where kids can run around and parents can relax.
Winter Playgroup: October to March
Meet up in the gym. The kids run around, tumble, climb. The parents chat, run around after the kids. A winter alternative to the play-ground!
Nature Walks for Families
Meet once a month on a sunny weekend morning for a short walk suitable for families with small children. We use Giles Hogben's car-sharing site to carpool where possible. Bring a sandwich and walking shoes.
